Job Description

Position Summary

GoldenCare at Home is seeking dedicated, compassionate Caregivers to provide non-medical home services to seniors and adults with disabilities. Caregivers support clients with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure safety and comfort in the home environment. We care for clients in Cook County , DuPage County and Lake County.

Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance (e.g., bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility support) as outlined in the individualized Service Plan.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities (IADLs), including meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and errands.
Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive and respectful environment.
Monitor client’s condition, promptly reporting changes in health, behavior, or environment to the supervisor.
Follow Service Plans and company policies in accordance with Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) regulations.
Maintain accurate daily care notes and documentation as required.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control, and confidentiality (HIPAA).
Support clients in attending appointments, social activities, and safe community engagement when assigned.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior caregiving, CNA, or home care experience preferred but not required – training provided.
Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, TB screening, and other state requirements.
Reliable, compassionate, patient, and respectful of client’s dignity and independence.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to lift, transfer, and provide mobility support as needed.

Employment Details

Reports to: Administrator / Agency Manager
Job Type: Variable hours; part-time and full-time, Live -in, shifts available (including evenings, weekends, and overnights).
Work Location: Client homes throughout [Service Area/County].
Pay Rate: Starting at $17-22___/hour (based on experience and assignment).
