Job Details:

• Night shift position in Med Surg/Telemetry unit
\n• Patient ratio of 5-6 patients
\n• Care for adult and geriatric patients from ED that meet admission criteria
\n• 40-bed unit with daily census of 40 patients
\n• Weekend coverage required (EOW - every other weekend)
\n• Self-scheduling available
\n• Float within hospital within scope of practice
\n• 24 hours of orientation provided
\n• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed
\n• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
\n• Preferred certifications: ACLS
\n• Additional requirements: Prophecy Relias Basic EKG, 4-hour annual stroke CEUs
\n• Skills needed: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, telemetry, basic EKG
\n• Charting system: Cerner (preferred experience)
\n• Minimum 2 years of experience required
\n• Previous charge experience preferred
\n• Valid Maryland or Compact license required at time of submission
\n• Up to 8 hours of non-billable modules completed virtually on first day and annually
\n• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)

This healthcare facility operates a 40-bed Med Surg/Telemetry unit providing comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and provides ongoing education requirements to ensure quality nursing practice.
