Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Litigation Associate to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various areas of law, particularly Labor Law and Construction Law, and will be responsible for managing cases from inception through trial. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex litigation matters and to develop your skills in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and file pleadings and motions
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda
- Manage the discovery process, including document production and responses
- Take and defend depositions of witnesses and experts
- Prepare for and attend court hearings and trial
- Assist in the development of case strategy and trial preparation
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Maintain case files and ensure compliance with deadlines
Qualifications
- Jurisdictional legal degree (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admission to the bar in the relevant state
- 2+ years of litigation experience in Labor Law and Construction Law
- Strong skills in drafting pleadings and motions
- Experience with discovery processes and depositions
- Ability to defend and argue motions effectively
- Knowledge of complex casualty cases is a plus
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
