We are working with a prominent, regional, full-service firm seeking a Junior Trusts & Estates Paralegal with at least one year of experience to join their Albany or Rochester office. The team provides a variety of comprehensive legal services to high-net worth individuals, families, and businesses.
The ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience in work that included exposure to estate administration work. The candidate will interact with a wide variety of clients in person, on the phone, via email and video conference; draft, edit and review probate and administration related documents; assist clients with retitling assets; assemble and organize financial records for estate tax returns and audits; prepare, edit, and review estate tax returns; and prepare fiduciary income tax returns and settlement papers for both formal and informal settlement of estates and trusts. Experience with New York Probate administration and filing, and trust accounting is preferred.
Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, and Outlook). Successful candidates will have a high level of initiative; exceptional oral and written communication skills; superior organizational skills; strong proofreading and analytical skills; and well-developed interpersonal skills. Notary public credential is a plus but not required.

The target base salary range is $55,000 - $70,000 commensurate with experience.
