Based out of the Greater Seattle area, we are an established Family Law Firm. We operate in all major counties in the area and due to growth have an immediate need for an experienced Paralegal to join our staff. This role can be hybrid or primarily remote depending on candidate preference.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting attorneys in family law matters, with a strong focus on divorce, custody, child support, and related legal proceedings. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to handle a busy caseload, and strong communication with clients and courts.
Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and settlement agreements.
- File and serve documents with courts in compliance with deadlines.
- Organize, review, and manage case files and evidence.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibits and witness coordination.
- Conduct legal research as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a paralegal, preferably in family law.
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent work experience.
- Strong knowledge of family law procedures and court filing systems in King or Pierce county
- Excellent writing, research, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
