A Day in the Life
On a daily basis, you will manage operations, work with directors and instructors, interfacing with customers - parents and children, holding meetings, supporting the Brand Ambassador in strategizing marketing events and community outreach, and the Programming Director with reputable and engaging instruction classes, camps, and community events.
You will be responsible for the overall success of the business, leading and delegating on-site staff and maintaining all regular business operations, whilst communicating with and ultimately reporting to the franchise owners.

SUMMARY:
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the overall leadership, daily operations, and business performance of both The Little Gym and Snapology franchise locations in Boise, ID. This unique role blends operational excellence, staff development, customer experience, and program delivery across two leading children’s enrichment brands. The GM will ensure both brands’ standards are met, drive enrollment and revenue growth, and foster a collaborative, high-energy team culture that delivers exceptional experiences for children and families - ultimately aligning it with business growth, goals and programming needs to ultimately generate profitability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Leadership

Oversee daily operations for both The Little Gym and Snapology, ensuring all activities align with brand standards and safety protocols

Maintain facilities and equipment to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality

Implement and monitor operational policies, procedures, and best practices from both franchisors
Program & Curriculum Management

Ensure the effective delivery of The Little Gym’s movement-based, confidence-building classes and Snapology’s STEAM programs

Monitor class quality, curriculum adherence, and instructor performance for both brands

Support the Programming Director in organizing and overseeing special events, camps, parties, and enrichment activities
Team Management & Development

Recruit, train, and motivate a diverse team of instructors and support staff for both brands
-
Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development
-
Foster a fun, creative, and collaborative work environment that reflects both brands’ values
Customer Experience & Community Engagement

Ensure exceptional customer service at every touchpoint, from front desk to class delivery
-
Build relationships with families, address concerns, and resolve issues promptly
-
Represent both brands in the community, building partnerships and promoting programs
Business Growth & Financial Management

Drive enrollment and revenue growth through effective marketing, outreach, and sales strategies

Monitor budgets, control costs, and manage resources efficiently
-
Analyze business performance data and implement improvement plans as needed
Compliance & Reporting

Ensure compliance with all franchise policies, local regulations, and health/safety standards
-
Maintain accurate records, prepare required reports, and communicate regularly with franchise owners and corporate support teams

Utilizes Social Media channels and Web-Enabled Marketing tools to drive exposure, awareness and generate leads

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Capable of of ‘Cloud to Ground’ management with ability to inspire vision, communicate strategy, and effectively delegate

Understanding that the success of the business is crucial to providing enriching experiences for children

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to understand and empathize with others

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others

Understanding of Funding and Grant System

Strong ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, catering to a diverse audience including children, parents, and staff

Utilize customer feedback tools, such as surveys, to gauge and enhance service quality.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business, education, child development, or related field preferred

Proven experience in a management role, ideally within children’s enrichment, education, fitness, or related industries

Exceptionally strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs

Passion for working with children and families

Familiarity with The Little Gym and/or Snapology programs is a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS
Position requires qualified individuals to see, hear and speak (verbally and audibly). Required to ascend and descend stairs; sit, stand, lift, bend, stoop, crawl and kneel. The employee must also use hands to finger, handle or feel. Occasionally reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing are required. Required to drive company car and travel by car, air and other transportation (including rail) for business purposes.
