Job Description
A local golf course in San Clemente is seeking an entry-level Groundskeeper to join their team for the Summer. The schedule is Monday-Friday 5am-2pm and Friday 5am-11am and is expected to last 3 to 4 months. The pay is $18 to $20/hour, based on experience.
Groundskeeper Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of basic maintenance and upkeep of the golf course
- Operate pneumatic devices and hand tools
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Edges, rakes, and maintains sand bunkers
- Pull weeds around bushes, trees, and shrubs
- Dig trenches, load and unload trucks
- Maintain records and log of all work performed
- Performs basic repairs and paints benches, tables and other items
- Trims hedges and prunes trees and bushes using hand and power tools
- Clean buildings and grounds
- Waters trees, greens and other areas
Must be able to:
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Perform heavy manual labor
- Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, construction, and repair work of golf course grounds
- Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time and in unfavorable weather conditions
- Submit to and pass a background check
