Express is looking for multiple positions for an established transformer technology company in the Canonsburg, PA area! These are great opportunities for long term career positions in the local area!
Electrical Finishers:
In this position, you will be doing hands-on mechanical work using many different tools and equipment in a safe and productive manner.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all external transformer control wiring
- Installing conduit, tubing, control cabinet, nitrogen regulators, grounding cable, terminal boards, and other electrical devices on the transformer.
- Work from diagrams and schematics to assemble parts and wiring into control cabinets.
- Keep work area safe, neat and clean.
Tools Used:
- Forklifts, cranes, crimpers, strippers, pipe benders, threading machines, ladders, man-lifts, and hand tools
Schedule and Pay:
• Schedule is 5am to 3:30pm, 3:30pm to 2am
• Pay is $21.95/hr
Winders:
In this position, you will be responsible for constructing a coil through the use of winding specifications and engineering drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Make brazed connections, fabricate crossovers, install cooling ducts and burn leads with an induction heater or oxygen/acetylene torch.
- Setup, wind , and dismantle of coil setups (mandrels, wire, etc.), removal, up ending and proper storage of coils upon completion.
- Record cylinders, wire and coil check sheets as required.
- Keep work area safe, neat and clean.
Schedule and Pay:
• This is a Swing Shift
• Pay is $22.20/hr
Coil Prep and Finisher:
In this position, you will perform various functions related to the set-up, make ready, and tear down of winding operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prep counter shields, make stick and tube assemblies, pre-load spacers, assemble vertical wind outs, bend, burn, anneal, clean and wrap leads, remove coils from winding machine and up-end.
- Fill out any required paperwork.
- Keep work area safe, neat and clean.
Schedule and Pay:
• Schedule is a Swing Shift
• Pay is $21.95/hr
Power Tester:
In this position, you will be performing testing on Power Transformers and transformer components on voltages and currents.
Responsibilities:
- Read and understand spec sheets or work orders
- Understand daily schedule to meet production demand
- Cross train and adhere to product development standards
- Operate machinery to test coils as needed
- Inspect coils during testing to ensure conformances
- Adhere to all housekeeping and safety standards, including the required use of PPE
- Competency using electric calculators and entering data into the system
- Competency using computers and logging data
- Documentation and calculation involved with wire testing
- Must be able to calculate test results to determine if product acceptance or rejection
- Knowledge of appropriate industry standards such as IEEE and IEC
- Attention to details when creating reports
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have additional schooling in electrical applications
- Ability to pass required math and tester exam.

- Pay is $22.20/hr
