Overview
Behavioral health agency located in Washington DC has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Director to join our team. The Clinical Director will be responsible for overseeing the Clinical Department. Provide supervision and training to clinical staff, interns, therapists and Community Support Specialists (CSS). The individual who holds this position must have a positive and supportive attitude toward the agency and its overall success. Must have the ability to think globally, promptly solve problems and have good decision-making skills, including critical thinking skills. The Clinical Director is ultimately responsible for clinical documentation, compliance, managing crisis interventions, ensuring adherence to agency policy, staff training and supervision, staff development and fostering a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all aspects of the clinical department during and after business hours; following the agency mission demonstrated by setting departmental goals and objectives, in collaboration with the Operations Supervisor and approved by the CEO.
- Collaborate with the Management team to solve problems and present viable solutions.
- Supervise clinical managers, therapists, clinical contractors, clinical staff, interns and community support specialists.
- Understand and follow all policies and procedures and participate in quality improvement activities including consumer satisfaction reports and clinical outcomes.
- Ensure all consumers are assigned
- Ensure Joint Commission and contract compliance for clinical department
- Review, approval and sign DAs, Tx Plan Builders/Tx Plans
- Understand and follow all policies and procedures and participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities including consumer satisfaction reports and clinical outcomes.
- Monitor and manages timely submission of documentation in compliance to with the agency’s policy to include correctness of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes utilizing the EHR system
- Maintain a small caseload to Provide counseling to individuals, couples, families and groups
- Provides emergency evaluations of consumers in crisis and crisis interventions, facilitates referral to more intensive levels of care if needed
- Maintain a positive attitude of cooperation, be reliable and consistent, communicate effectively, build staff morale and be punctual.
- Collaborate with all departments to facilitate a coordinated continuum of care and implement policies and procedures and accreditation standards.

Education and Experience
- Required License: Must be licensed as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) -
- Preferred Experience: 2-5 of supervisory experience in behavioral health or healthcare and 3 years of direct care experience in behavioral health
Hours
Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
