Job Description: Emergency Department Nurse (ED) – Night Shift
We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department (ED) Nurse for a rewarding 13-week assignment. This position offers a shift schedule of 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, totaling 36 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering compassionate and professional services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Perform assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver effective and efficient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions effectively.
- Respond to medical emergencies and assist in lifesaving procedures.
- Maintain patient flow, prioritizing treatments based on acuity and urgency.
- Participate in patient and family education to promote optimal recovery.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
- Current nursing license in the applicable state.
- Previous experience in an emergency setting preferred.
- BLS, ACLS, and other certifications as required.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.
Additional Information:
This position requires working every other weekend and holiday.
