We are currently seeking a passionate and community-driven Resident Experience Coordinator – Family Focus to join our Resident Experience Team. This role plays a vital part in empowering families by connecting them to resources that promote education, economic mobility, health, and personal growth.
Position Overview
The Resident Experience Coordinator serves as a liaison between residents, service providers, and internal departments. This role focuses on providing individualized support to help families thrive through:
· Advocacy – Helping residents navigate barriers and access services
· Resource Coordination – Linking families to tools, opportunities, and partnerships
· Skill-Building – Facilitating workshops on life skills, employment readiness, and education
· Supportive Engagement – Building trust and offering consistent, resident-centered support
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct family-centered outreach, intakes, and needs assessments
· Develop and implement individualized success plans
· Facilitate life skills, workforce development, and parent education workshops
· Maintain strong relationships with community partners and service agencies
· Track resident goals, collect service data, and support program impact reporting
· Address resident concerns with empathy and proactive problem-solving
· Promote resident involvement in leadership and community activities
· Collaborate across departments to ensure holistic family support
· Perform other duties as assigned to advance the mission, sustainability, and strategic goals of Decatur Housing
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field
· At least one (3) year of experience in housing, case management, or social services (experience with underserved populations preferred)
· Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
· Knowledge of case management and trauma-informed care principles
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with MRI or case management software preferred
· Familiarity with family systems, community development, or equity-based practices is a plus
Requirements
· Valid Georgia driver’s license and access to reliable transportation insurable by companies fleet insurance provider
· Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed
· Must pass a pre-employment background check
Physical Requirements
· Must be able to sit, stand, walk for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and navigate stairs and housing sites. Work occurs in both office settings and outdoor/community environments.
