Allient Inc. is seeking Engineering Interns who are eager to learn and gain hands-on experience in an engineering, laboratory, and manufacturing environment at our facility in Oshkosh, WI! Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the engineering team in day-to-day operations, including part specification creation, SolidWorks drawing updates, bill of materials (BOM) changes, and part specification revisions.
- Learn company and industry engineering practices, design principles, and product knowledge to support general engineering tasks.
- Utilize design software and proprietary techniques to analyze designs and gain an understanding of transformer construction.
- Collaborate with production floor staff and lab personnel to learn testing procedures, quality requirements, and aspects of mass production.
- Analyze new and existing designs to identify cost-saving opportunities and production improvements.
- Prepare engineering packets that include customer drawings, similar unit references, applicable industry standards, and producibility considerations.
- Support mass-update projects for older product series, including updates to drawings, kit sheets, BOMs, and process sheets.
- All work is to be reviewed and approved by senior engineers.
- Works directly under the engineering manager and receives guidance from senior engineers.
Qualifications:
- Education: Currently enrolled in a 2–4 year college program in engineering, physics, or a related field.
- Experience:0–4 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, engineering, or physics.

This position requires on-site work at our Oshkosh, WI facility during standard hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Flexible hours are available with a minimum of 10 hours per week and up to a maximum of 20 hours.
