The Opportunity:

We’re looking for Bike and Trail Instructors for our Spring Break Camps. Here’s how this job plays a role:

• As an instructor you will spend your days outside while inspiring the next generation of cyclists. It’s active, adventurous, fun, and incredibly rewarding.
• You don’t have to be a bike expert because we provide training for our programs for you to get going in your new role!

• April 6-10
• April 13-17

• • Bothell - Bothell United Methodist Church (April 6-10)
  • Crossroads at Unity of Bellevue (April 6-10)
  • Ballard at West Woodland Elementary School (April 13-17)
  • Green Lake at Green Lake Elementary School (April 13-17)
  • Meadowbrook at Maple Leaf Lutheran Church (April 13-17)
  • Mercer Island - West Mercer Elementary (April 13-17)
  • West Seattle at Schmitz Park Elementary School (April 13-17)
  • Seward Park at Graham Hill Elementary School (April 13-17)

WAGE:

• $21.30 /hour (First Year Instructor Wage)

What you’d be responsible for:

In addition to sharing your ideas on how we can grow, learn and build, in this role, you’ll also be:

• Teaching our daily Pedalheads camp programs for children ages 2-12 years
• Actively introduce children new bike skills
• Ensure the health and safety of children at camp
• Act as a positive role model and leader at all times
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Here are some of the skills / specifics that are important for this role:

• You will be at least 16 years of age by the start of camp
• Comfortable leading a group of up to 6 children (training provided)
• Committed to keeping our campers safe
• You are energetic, creative, motivated and fun
• Hold or willing to get a current Standard First Aid with CPR certificate
• Criminal record check required for ages 18+
• You have access to a bike and helmet and can ride a bike proficiently
