Attorney - Land Use
Salary: $180,000 - $205,000 (Plus Bonus Potential)
Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Attorney specializing in Land Use to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate and environmental law, with a focus on land use planning and regulatory compliance. This role is essential for navigating complex legal frameworks and assisting clients in achieving their property development goals while ensuring adherence to municipal laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance on land use planning and regulatory compliance matters.
- Assist clients with property development projects, including obtaining necessary permits and approvals.
- Conduct legal research related to land use, environmental law, and municipal regulations.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements related to land use and property development.
- Represent clients in litigation involving land use disputes and regulatory issues.
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, easements, and permits.
- Stay updated on changes in land use laws and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- 5+ years of experience in land use, real estate, or environmental law.
- Strong knowledge of land use planning, regulatory compliance, and municipal law.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in legal research and writing.
- Experience with litigation and permitting processes.
