A respected international law firm is seeking a Temporary Litigation Legal Assistant (4879) to provide short-term support to its Seattle office. This assignment is expected to last a few weeks, covering a litigation desk during a transition period. The role will support multiple attorneys and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time-sensitive litigation tasks.
What You’ll Do:
- Download, organize, and maintain case files and email correspondence
- Proofread and format legal documents with accuracy
- Create document shells and assist with drafting
- Manage attorney calendars and scheduling needs
- Prepare and submit federal e-filings in compliance with court rules
- Provide general litigation administrative support to attorneys and staff
What They’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience as a litigation legal assistant, preferably in a law firm setting
- Strong knowledge of federal e-filing procedures
- Exceptional organizational and proofreading skills
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines with accuracy
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with document management systems
- Professionalism, reliability, and a collaborative mindset
This assignment begins ASAP and will last approximately a few weeks. The role supports three attorneys, and is best suited for someone available full-time, though a four-day work week may be considered. The position will be fully in-office for the first couple of weeks, then transition to a hybrid schedule with three days in-office and two days remote.
