Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our busy Family Law firm in Roseville, California. This role requires someone who is compassionate, ethical, and capable of working independently while knowing when to seek collaboration. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting clients through challenging times and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare trial exhibits with accuracy and attention to detail.
• File legal documents with the court in a timely and organized manner.
• Manage and maintain client files, ensuring all records are up-to-date.
• Track billable hours effectively and provide detailed reporting.
• Draft pleadings and other legal documents with precision.
• Assist in preparing discovery materials and compiling necessary information.
• Perform general paralegal duties as needed to support the firm.
• Utilize software such as Judicial Council Forms, Excel, Adobe Acrobat DC, and Word to complete tasks efficiently.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure smooth workflow and case management.• Minimum of 1-5 years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably in Family Law.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate a detail-oriented approach in demeanor and appearance.
• Strong reading comprehension, writing, editing, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in verbal communication and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Competency in using Judicial Council Forms, Excel, Adobe Acrobat DC, Zoom, and Word.
• Familiarity with custody transfer processes and other family law procedures.
• Paralegal Certification or equivalent relevant experience.
• Punctuality, dependability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
