Commercial Kitchen Hood Technician - Nights
Location: Various commercial kitchen sites across Pierce County
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, Starting after 5:00pm (8 hours) flexible start time
Pay: $22/hr
Type: Evaluation to Hire
License Required: Valid Drivers License (cleaning driving record)
Express Employment Professionals is hiring for a Commercial Kitchen Hood Cleaning Tech to join a team that keeps kitchens safe, clean, and fire-code compliant. You’ll travel to all kinds of commercial kitchens—restaurants, schools, hospitals, and more—scrubbing down the systems that keep them running.
If you’re not afraid of a little grease, don’t mind getting wet, and love working with your hands, this is the job for you!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Scrub and degrease kitchen hoods, filters, ducts, and fans
- Use pressure washers, scrapers, and degreasers like a pro
- Climb ladders, work on rooftops, and squeeze into tight spaces
- Travel to different commercial kitchen locations (usually in a company vehicle)
- Safely handle chemicals and wear PPE (gloves, goggles, masks)
- Get wet—this job involves water, pressure washing, and a little mess
- Dispose of grease and waste properly
- Clean and maintain your tools after each job
What We’re Looking For:
- Someone who’s not afraid of hard work, water, or a little elbow grease
- Physically able to lift 40+ lbs and work in hot, greasy, or tight spaces
- Comfortable working nights and a flexible schedule
- A valid driver’s license and reliable work ethic
- A team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail
