Position Overview
As a key member of the legal team, you will be responsible for litigating personal injury and workers compensation claims from intake to resolution. The role involves drafting, serving, and filing documents, legal research and motion practice, client communication, handling discovery, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trying cases at state or federal level. You’ll work closely with attorneys, paralegals, support staff, and manage your caseload with professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities

Litigate personal injury and workers compensation claims from intake through resolution.

Draft, serve, file, and argue motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.

Conduct client interviews, provide legal counsel, and maintain consistent client communication.

Handle discovery, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, trial preparation and practice in trials.

Conduct legal research relevant to cases.

Communicate and collaborate with co-workers, including paralegals and support staff.

Manage and track case deadlines to ensure timely progress and filings.

Perform other assignments as needed to support the legal team.
Required Qualifications
-
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Licensed to practice law in Minnesota and in good standing with the bar.

Strong writing and verbal communication skills.

Good work ethic, attention to detail, and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Previous experience in personal injury and/or workers compensation.

Background in customer service or client-facing roles.

Familiarity with Microsoft Suite (Office, Outlook, Excel).

Self-starter with ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
