We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the general upkeep, repair, and maintenance of the property, ensuring that the building and its systems remain in excellent working condition for the safety and comfort of all residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs in apartment units and common areas, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting tasks.
- Respond promptly to service requests from tenants and property management.
- Conduct regular inspections of the building, equipment, and systems to identify issues or potential concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of common areas, including hallways, stairwells, lobbies, laundry rooms, and grounds.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are needed.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed in a timely, professional, and cost-effective manner.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, inventory used, and maintenance logs.
- Assist with apartment turnovers, including cleaning, painting, and repairs between tenants.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies during repairs and maintenance work.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of maintenance experience preferred (especially in residential or multi-family buildings).
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repair.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical work.
- Availability for on-call shifts, emergencies, or after-hours repairs as needed.
