We are seeking a Medical Office Manager to assist in the daily administrative and business operations of our dermatology medical practice.
Prior medical office management experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Recruit, hire, train and supervise staff. Includes managing scheduling, payroll and conducting performance evaluations. Utilize strong leadership skills to encourage a positive work environment
Ability to address any interpersonal staffing issues promptly and fairly
Oversee employee Group Health and Retirement plans
Assist in credentialing updates to maintain contracted agreements (attestations)
Manage employee scheduling/time off requests to maintain appropriate staffing levelsDevelop & implement office policies and procedures to ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance
Manage daily operations of practice, overseeing administrative staff and ensuring smooth workflow
Assist in making appointments, taking phone calls, checking patients in/out as staffing needs require
Conduct follow up on Past Due Accounts Receivables to promote financial stability for practice
Serve as the primary contact for vendors; handle vendor negotiations, resolving any service issues
Monitor inventory supply levels and order supplies as needed
Closely monitor office expenses to to control overhead; identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality patient care
Oversee billing service to improve reimbursement levels with appropriate coding and improve accuracy of patient medical records; provide payments and EOB's received in office to billing service via loading onto their Portal
Collaborate with providers to optimize scheduling practices to increase staff efficiency without compromising quality patient care
Resolve patient complaints and inquiries, acting as a liaison between patients, providers and insurance companies
Assist patients in understanding their insurance policy requirements (co-pays, EOB's, Out-of-Pocket expenses)
Education:
Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience required; this is not an entry level position

Job requires a significant amount of multi-tasking on a daily basis, so flexibility and being able to pivot to
address tasks requiring immediate attention is imperative. Having strong interpersonal skills is also necessary, as there is
significant personal interaction with staff and patients.
Familiarity with Modernizing Medicine PM Software is a plus!
