  • Onsite: 100%
  • Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Is this you?

  • Are you comfortable working with PLCs, process pumps, motors, and building electrical systems?
  • Can you bend conduit, pull wire, and keep meticulous preventive maintenance records?
  • Do you lead by example—occasionally directing lower-classified craftworkers and training peers?

Core responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, test, maintain, and repair electrical circuits and equipment to ensure compatibility and safety.
  • Install and repair building electrical systems in compliance with the National Electrical Code.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical apparatus, equipment, facilities, and systems; maintain PM documentation.

  • Repair or replace switches, fuses, contactors, controls, motors, breakers, and related hardware.
  • Follow oral and written instructions; escalate irregularities to the supervisor per procedure.
  • Coordinate area activities with the central maintenance shop and assist other technicians or engineers.
  • Train other crafts persons as assigned and periodically direct junior craft personnel.
  • Adhere to all safety rules; keep the work area clean and return tools, unused materials, and reference documents.

Equipment, tools, and environments

  • Electrical test instruments; hand and power tools; tube benders; splicing tools; wire-pulling equipment.
  • Wire, contactors, switches, motors, breakers, fuses, and miscellaneous electrical hardware.
  • Exposure to process equipment and chemicals; programmable logic controls; building construction and handling equipment.

Minimum qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED. Relevant trade/technical school education in industrial electrical maintenance may satisfy part of the experience requirement.
  • Five (5) years electrical craft experience, including three (3) years in industrial electrical maintenance.
