HELP WANTED TOWN OF SPRINGFIELD Rewarding Career as a Wastewater Collections Operator The Town of Springfield, VT is seeking a Collections Operator for a full-time position in the Wastewater Department. The Operator performs the daily routine tasks concerning the operation and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment Plant(s), Collection System, Pumping Stations, Compost Facility, and the pre-treatment facility. This position requires knowledge of the operation of wastewater treatment plant(s); ability to perform arithmetic computations, to take accurate readings and keep routine records for both the Wastewater Plant and Collection System; ability to read blueprints and maps; ability to diagnose and follow through on need for repairs related to the Wastewater Collection System; ability to learn and operate function operation & maintenance of vacuum truck; ability to operate gas detectors and safety equipment; ability to operate and maintain the wastewater camera; and ability to operate SCADA. Must have a High School Diploma or GED, wastewater experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate, possession of a valid CDL required (Level B required with Tanker endorsement), Certified as a VT Water Pollution Control Operator (Grade I or better). Pay is $22.23 - $25.03 depending on experience, CDL requirement and certifications. This is a non-exempt, Union position with an excellent benefits package.
