Day in the life of a Traveling Construction Coordinator
 
Key Responsibilities &amp; Essential Functions:
<ul>
<li>Adhere to all company safety policies and initiatives</li>
<li>Complete returns for parts and tools from the jobsite</li>
<li>Accurately maintain jobsite inventory and equipment</li>
<li>Complete parts and tools requests through ordering, receiving and shipping</li>
<li>Conduct product and tool cleaning, inspection, and storage at the jobsite</li>
<li>Work closely with Inside Sales, Purchasing and Operations</li>
<li>Provide customer service and support as main contact between Van Meter and customer</li>
<li>Set up and relocate fabrication stations/areas</li>
<li>Clean, stock and remove excess material from work areas</li>
<li>Deliver parts and tools to needed areas of jobsite</li>
<li>Receive and distribute deliveries as needed</li>
<li>Keep Connex and laydown yard clean and orderly</li>
<li>Clean, charge and/or fuel lifts and generators</li>
<li>General jobsite housekeeping</li>
<li>Assemble lights and other assemblies before installation</li>
<li>Responsibly manage expense associated with travel and working in the field</li>
<li>Process, cut, and prepare wire orders in an efficient and accurate manner</li>
<li>Label, verify and ships all outgoing commodity orders</li>
<li>Maintain inventory integrity through uses of cycle count, RD and wire cutting processes</li>
<li>Clean, maintain and 5S warehouse, office, and break trailers</li>
<li>Utilize multiple tools including, air compressors, nail guns, wire cutting tools, etc.</li>
<li>General help with crew members when needed</li>

Job Requirements/Specifications:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or GED required</li>
<li>Ability to travel within the United States to be on assignment for months at a time</li>
<li>Previous customer service experience required</li>
<li>Previous distribution center experience preferred</li>
<li>Ability to lift 70 lbs. on a consistent basis</li>
<li>Ability to operate lift truck equipment</li>
<li>Ability to work an extended shift to complete work tasks as needed</li>
<li>Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time</li>
<li>Willingness to obtain a Class A or Class B CDL if deemed necessary</li>
<li>Ability to meet and maintain qualifications as required by the DOT</li>
<li>Demonstrated computer skills</li>
