Personal Fitness Trainer

Job Description:
This job code applies to the Athletic Trainer, in the community, youth or high school setting, with primary assignment to support the medical needs of the assigned partner; provide medical coverage, on field and in the training room for injured athletes during practices and events. Such duties may also extend to assist other local high schools, community sporting events, and regional sporting camps/activities. This position will have variable working hours, unpredictability of schedules, adjusting to match the needs of the partner and late nights.\n\n

Essential Functions

<li>Carries out rehabilitation program after athlete or patient has been evaluated and treatment plan has been established collaborating closely with other medical team providers including PT, and Physician.</li>

<li>A degree in a related field is preferred but not required (Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, Physical Education, Nutrition, Fitness Specialist, etc.). A degree would be accepted in lieu of a primary Personal Trainer Certification.</li>
<li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED).</li>
<li>Personal Training experience preferred but not required.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Baseline Computer Skills Required for managing email, business tools, and timecard review.</li>
<li>Enthusiastic and positive attitude.</li>
