Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Recreation, this position is responsible for directing, planning, organizing, scheduling, and implementing a comprehensive recreation program in a variety of assigned areas of responsibility. The areas of responsibility include: adult and youth athletics leagues, programs and other recreational classes and special events for the District at various indoor and outdoor locations and facilities. Job Responsibilities:

<li>Prepare and monitor budget, manage revenues and expenditures and prepare financial reports. Prepare purchase orders, RFP’s, and invoice requests. Prepare short and long-range revenue/expenditure projections, check revenue streams, etc. Develop and implement strategies to increase usage of assigned areas. Calculate program fees to meet cost-recovery goals. Formulating comprehensive business plans by researching and analyzing market information is essential.</li>
<li>Work closely with the Marketing team to develop, implement, and track results of all marketing strategies to maximize registrations, facility utilization, and notify the public of District events. Promote a positive image to the public. Participate in community planning and organizational meetings.</li>
<li>Schedule athletic fields and related recreational facilities for program use; coordinate weather related field maintenance and other schedule changes; resolve scheduling disputes; identify proper use fees; negotiate and administer field use contracts with external entities; coordinate specific field setup needs.</li>
<li>Select, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate personnel; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain relationships with District employees, vendors, various outside user groups and associations to coordinate their programs, tournaments, special events and league play. Manage agreements and coordinate communications with independent contractors.</li>

What you’d be responsible for: 
<ul>
<li>Program Management- Ensure that program delivery and safety standards are maintained, and that every participant has a positive and rewarding experience at Pedalheads. This will require lots of hands-on involvement in teaching the kids</li>
<li>Human Resources/Employee Relations- manage Camp Supervisors, Instructors, and Volunteers, mentoring and motivating your team </li>
<li>Customer Service- Be willing to go the extra mile to engage customers and provide excellent customer service.</li>
<li>Administration- Assist with on-camp registration and processing payments for product sales.</li>
</ul>

Skills, knowledge and experience 
Here are some of the skills/ specifics and experience that are important for this role: 
<ul>
<li>Applicants are required to be over 18 years old before the first day of camp </li>
<li>We are looking for people with experience managing, coaching, or supervising youths ages 13 through 24, preferably in a camp or sport environment. </li>
<li>Ideal candidates will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic. </li>
<li>They will be dynamic leaders who bring out the best in their teams through mentorship, motivation, and hands-on leadership.</li>
<li>Hold or willing to get a current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certificate </li>
<li>Criminal record check required for ages 18+</li>
<li>You have access to a bike and helmet and are able to ride a bike proficiently.</li>
</ul>
