<li>Monitors and evaluates student performance, as/when appropriate.</li>
<li>Follows all required school procedures and practices.</li>
<li>Follow lesson plans, assignments, and instructional materials.</li>
<li>Maintains order and discipline in the classroom conducive to effective learning and takes all necessary safety precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.</li>
<li>Enables each student to achieve learning objectives.</li>

Other functions of the job include but are not limited to the following

<li>Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a demonstrated commitment to the OCCS Statement of Faith and a continuous exhibition of a desire to minister and serve others in varied capacities.</li>
<li>Active involvement in a local church.</li>
<li>Consistent in modeling the qualities of a Christian mentor who embodies the values which create our OCCS culture.</li>
<li>Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic and ability backgrounds.</li>
<li>Encourage parent and community involvement, obtain information for parents when requested, promptly return phone calls and answer emails.</li>
<li>Participate in appropriate professional activities.</li>
<li>Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs and student organizations as directed.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
