What we look for We are seeking a Field Services Technician to support our team with equipment commissioning and post-sales service activities. When not traveling, you’ll work from a fully equipped home office, backed by a dedicated support team. On the road, you’ll handle commissioning, maintenance, training, and troubleshooting, ensuring our customers experience the very best in service and reliability.
What You’ll Do
<ul>
<li>Commission &amp; Maintain: Install, service, and monitor specialized mining equipment at customer sites.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot &amp; Repair: Diagnose issues, perform repairs, and conduct fault-finding to keep operations running smoothly.</li>
<li>Train &amp; Educate: Deliver expert training to mine site personnel on the safe and efficient use of our technology.</li>
<li>Inspect &amp; Prevent: Carry out Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to detect and address potential failures before they happen.</li>
<li>Collaborate &amp; Support Sales: Work with the Customer Support Manager to recommend spare parts, assist in sales follow-ups, and ensure timely order completion.</li>
<li>Report &amp; Communicate: Capture customer feedback, complete service documentation, and maintain accurate timesheets.</li>
</ul>
What You Bring
Required:
<ul>
<li>Journeyman-level qualification in Crane Technology, Diesel Mechanics, Electrical, or similar trade.</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work confidently at all organizational levels.</li>
<li>Outgoing, customer-focused personality with a proactive approach to building relationships.</li>
<li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in documentation.</li>
<li>Solid IT skills (Microsoft Office proficiency).</li>
<li>Ability to meet all mine site access requirements, including medical clearance.</li>
</ul>
Preferred:
<ul>
<li>Tertiary qualification in Engineering or related discipline.</li>
<li>Experience in the hard rock mining industry (1+ year).</li>
<li>Familiarity with mine site operations and grinding mill maintenance (especially relining).</li>
<li>Established network within the North American mining sector.</li>
</ul>
Licenses &amp; Requirements
<ul>
<li>Valid U.S. or Canadian driver’s license with clean driving record.</li>
<li>Ability to obtain an unrestricted international driver’s license.</li>
<li>Valid passport and ability to travel freely within the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.</li>
</ul>
