We are looking for a Residential Program Director for one of our DD Residential Facilities in Opelika, AL. 
Responsibilities include: Supervises and manages the overall operation of residential program. Supervises staff. Plans and coordinated program activities as well as schedules. Coordinates services provided to individuals as appropriate. Ensures the implementation of and compliance with policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with State and Federal standards and applicable laws. Regular attendance; ability to work cooperatively with others and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness in and in a safe manner. Must be available after hours, weekends and holidays when assistance is needed. 
Coordinates the living arrangements of consumers. Ensures that the physical needs of consumers are met, including clothing, grooming, nutritional, and medical needs. Responsible for providing a; suitable and comfortable environment ·for consumer living. Ensures regular contact with family members ·and/or significant others. Makes appointments on behalf of consumers as appropriate. May prepare meals. Responsible for ensuring compliance with dietician approved menus (and substitutions are approved by dietician). Consumer Care: Supervises consumer activities, including completion of daily chores, outings, training, grooming, bathing, toileting, meal-time activities. Ensures consumer safety. Follows a schedule of activities. Monitors consumer physical and mental health, ensuring that consumer needs are met and maintained. Assists consumers as needed, to include lifting and other physical intervention as needed. May administer consumer medication as prescribed by a physician and accompany consumers to medical appointments. Reports and documents incidents and/to unusual problems to supervisory or on-call staff. Models appropriate social skills. Ensures consumer rights are observed and protected. Ensures consumer clothing needs are met and that consumer is provided a suitable living environment. Completes program chores as assigned; i.e. sweeping, dusting, cooking, shopping, washing and drying consumer clothing, changing linen. Follows menus approved by dietician. Assists with menu planning (when making substitutions to menus ensure approval by dietician), following menus, and preparation of meals. Ensures that meals are served family style and that appropriate table manners are modeled by staff during meal time. Ensures compliance with special diets. May schedule consumer appointments for needed services (medical, dental, etc.). Program Services: Assists in implementation of the consumer’s treatment, habilitation, and/or service plans. Assists with implementation of the program’s contingency program (i.e., level system, token economy, etc.). Implements behavior management procedures as assigned and/or as indicated by a contingency program or the individual’s behavior plan. Contacts consumer relatives or other significant others as appropriate. Completes fire drills, severe weather drills, and nightly bed checks. Reviews consumer records to ensure familiarity with each consumer’s social and medical history.
