QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES:

<li> Minimum age of 16.</li>
<li> Basic life support or professional rescuer CPR/AED, first aid, and emergency oxygen administration certifications and child abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date.</li>
<li> YMCA Swim Instructor certification or equivalent or ability to get certification.</li>
<li> Demonstrated ability to recognize students who may need assistance.</li>
<li> Demonstrated ability to recognize and remedy hazardous and dangerous situations.</li>
<li> Demonstrated ability to swim in shallow and deep water and tread water.</li>
<li> Patience and the ability to communicate with all ages and levels of students, parents and caregivers, and other Y staff and volunteers. </li>

WORK SCHEDULE:
Work schedules may vary per the Y’s hours of operation. Most Y’s are open 7 days a week:
Mon. – Fri. 5:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Sat. 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sun. 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

<li> Remain in the pool area at all times.</li>
<li> Remain alert, with no lapses of consciousness, in a warm environment with air temperatures of 80 degrees or higher.</li>

<li> Ability to walk, stand, and sit (including on the floor) for long periods of time.</li>
<li> Ability to stand or sit while maintaining alertness for several hours at a time. </li>

POSITION:
We are seeking highly motivated and dynamic Instructors to join our studio family. Both full- &amp; part-time positions are available. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Pilates and helping others improve their lives through health and fitness. REQUIREMENTS:

<li>Current full apparatus Pilates Certification with 450 hours of experience or equivalent</li>

<li>Conducting private, semi-private, demo or other additional sessions as needed</li>
<li>Visually inspecting the equipment prior to each class to ensure it is in good working order and safe to use</li>
