REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Current active RN license in good standing required (Compact license preferred).
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical education and adult learning, preferably in hospice/palliative care settings.
• Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN), or willing to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Experience leading change management, performance improvement, and project management in a clinical care setting.
• Strong knowledge of hospice, palliative care and Medicare/Medicaid compliance.

JOB SUMMARY: The Education Director performs the following tasks in compliance with the 638 BIA Contract Program- BIA/AVT Higher Education. Oversees the implementation and supervision of grant programs awarded to FSST Education under the authority of the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe. Assists in developing, planning, evaluating, and coordinating activities related to community education and program development. Targets FSST enrolled youth and FSST members to recruit into higher education programs and universities, adult education programs, or other related assistance. Works collaboratively with Dakota Language and other Educational Grant project employees to avoid duplication of services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs all necessary functions in relation to administration of BIA/AVT tuition grant programs as outlined in the Higher Education Administrative Manual and FSST Student Handbook on Educational Funding. • Must maintain strict confidentiality regarding student files, reports, and information. Must uphold the privacy of information with documentation within the Tribal and Education Departments. Works closely with the Committee for suggestions of possible onsite education or new programs to be introduced. • Serves students currently enrolled in the Higher Education program as an advisor and helps check in with students and direct them to school resources to aid in FSST tribal members’ retention rates in colleges/universities. • Acts as a liaison between the South Dakota Board of Regents, tribal colleges, and local colleges and universities, and the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe to establish a network of communication and awareness. • Implements and/or collaborates with other departments and programs to create community education classes that promote educational, occupational, cultural, wellness, or art-related learning. Responsible for program evaluations. • Monitor the Learning Classroom including classroom reservations, computer usage and sign-in sheets, and the computer use policies. Develop online learning opportunities for the local tribal community. • Increase the recruitment and retention of the number of tribal members without a high school diploma to attain a GED or the equivalence to a High School Diploma. • Manages the FSST Adult GED Preparation Program including program evaluation, policy updates, budgeting, recruitment, classes, managing resources, student orientations, and tracking and supporting students in the program. • Promotes/Supports and assists with FSST’s Dakota Culture and Language Program staff and the after-school program, if or as needed. • Collaborates and assists with the Demonstration Grant and JOM Program staff, if or as needed. • Promote outreach activities and community programs through advertising events, newsletters, and contacting students on a regular basis. • Assist in the development of any college readiness or summer bridge programs to recruit students into higher education with college-level ready skills. • Promote and/or develop appropriate programming that enhances Native American student achievement, such as mentorship programs, scholarship programs, workshops, classes, and/or other national/state-wide student success programs. • Continually explore and apply for grants and other funding opportunities for the Education departmental programs and services.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
 Achieving Reunification Center (ARC), a non-profit entity, has served parents/caregivers with children placed in an out of home placement through the Department of Human Services since 2005. The vision of Achieving Reunification Center (ARC) is that all families with children in out-of-home placement have resources and support provided to them to achieve timely reunification.

POSITION SUMMARY:
 The Financial Education Coach (FEC) is responsible for a wide range of financial education service activities, including day to day delivery direct services utilizing a parent centered coaching framework. As part of the coaching framework, the coach will use motivational interview skills and goal setting techniques. The Financial Education Coach will partner with community agencies and businesses to ensure that parents have access to an array of services, education, and opportunities in order to meet their financial goals. The FEC will develop, plan and implement workshops, events and one-on-one parent meetings around money management, budgeting, debt management and credit repair education and services. The primary objective of the Financial Education Coach is to assist families in obtaining the financial services needed for parent reunification. The FEC will work closely with the ARC Housing Support Coach, as participation in financial education is a requirement for housing services. The FEC will also oversee ARC’s Workforce Development Partners, as income is needed in order to apply financial education. 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Facilitate in-person and remote financial education coaching sessions using a parent centered framework and motivational interviewing to assess employment and work with participants to create goal action plans (GAPs) that support them in attaining family and economic stability</li>

&nbsp;As a successful&nbsp;Director of Education, your primary responsibility will be to champion the Sylvan developed curriculum, manage and ensure the quality of the education standards and teaching staff as well as grow the business in your center. As a successful Director of Education, you will:&nbsp;Grow the Center:&nbsp;

<li>Keep Mom and Dad informed on program progress&nbsp;</li>

<li>Develop internal teachers and staff in order to allow us to promote employees from within</li>

&nbsp;Partner with the Center Director to run operations Ensure Educational Integrity:&nbsp;

<li>Motivate and develop staff through ongoing trainings and workshops</li>
<li>Administer Sylvan Skills Assessments; analyze and interpret results</li>
<li>Write and recommend goal-based programs for Sylvan students as well as monitor programs for performance</li>
<li>Establish relationships and communications with students' teachers for insights on school progress</li>
<li>Create a positive learning environment by modeling motivational behavior in the center for staff, students and parents, during all phases of the instructional program</li>

<li>A Bachelor's Degree and teaching experience preferred</li>
<li>State or provincial teaching credentials (current or expired)</li>
<li>Managerial experience is preferred</li>

<li>Familiarity with instructional technology and tablet computers</li>
<li>Experience using Microsoft Word and other standard business applications used by the Center</li>

<li>Ability to work a minimum of 45 hours week</li>

The Paraeducator of Overbrook School for the Blind exudes a passion for the school, its students, and its employees. This position will report directly to the Classroom Teacher and Program Coordinator.
The Mission of Overbrook School for the Blind (OSB) is to develop and deliver education that enhances the options available for persons with visual impairments, including those with additional challenges so that they have the greatest opportunity to experience active and fulfilling lives.
Job Functions: The Paraeducator supports the classroom teacher in all instructional and non-instructional activities, as outlined in student Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and in accordance with school policies and procedures. This role requires flexibility, collaboration, and a commitment to supporting student learning and well-being.

<li>Assist the teacher with daily classroom activities and instructional support, including implementation of lesson plans and IEP goals.</li>
<li>Provide support to students during special subject classes (e.g., Art, Music, Physical Education, and Swimming), unless medically excused.</li>
<li>Collect and document data on student progress toward IEP goals and objectives.</li>
<li>Implement all aspects of specially designed instruction and behavior plans as outlined in each student’s IEP, including communication systems, feeding, and therapy protocols.</li>
<li>Support students with personal health and hygiene, including diapering and toileting, as needed.</li>
<li>Assist students during lunchtime and help with lunch preparation and related activities.</li>

<li>Assist with classroom preparation, including bulletin boards, copying, making instructional materials, and data collection tools.</li>
<li>Perform assigned bus duty in the morning (AM), which may include picking up students from the residential program.</li>
<li>Supervise and support students in the teacher’s absence, reinforcing previously taught goals and instructional content.</li>
<li>Follow and uphold all policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.</li>
<li>Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student and family information; share such information only with appropriate staff or administration.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher, program coordinator, or school administration, which may include coverage in other classrooms or programs as needed.</li>
<li>Note: Paraeducators must remain engaged during all assigned instructional and student support periods, including Physical Education and lunch; breaks are not permitted during these times when working with students.</li>

Minimum Education and Experience Qualifications:

<li>High school diploma + PA Paraeducator Certification or Associates Degree or two complete years from an accredited college or university</li>
<li>CPR/First Aid certifications or the willingness to acquire it.</li>
<li>Valid Driver's License is required for most programs (for Full Time employees and desirable for Substitute Teacher Aides)</li>
<li>Other preferred skills: Braille, Sign language, and use of adaptive equipment for individuals with physical challenges including feeding tubes.</li>
