Summary/Objective 
This position is the primary contact for client families and is accountable for performing a variety of tasks during funeral and memorialization process to ensure services run smoothly and that the expectations of our client families and their guests are exceeded.
Essential Functions
<ul>
<li>Meets with client families to listen and assist in arrangements personalized memorial services, under direct supervision of a licensed funeral director.</li>
<li>Understands and implements Company provided training to ensure all client families recognize service and merchandise options.</li>
<li>Conducts and attends services and visitations on a regular basis.</li>
<li>Utilizes systems to review merchandise options, enter contracts, and complete necessary forms, without supervision or assistance.</li>
<li>Oversees all employees participating in services, ensuring that each member of the team understands their individual role and is professionally representing the location.</li>
<li>Under direction of licensed Funeral Director and/or Embalmer, participates in preparation of the deceased (dressing, applying makeup and casketing).</li>
<li>Assists with placing caskets or remains in visitation area, setting up room to comply with client family wishes, including adjusting light fixtures and arrangement of flowers or plants.</li>
<li>Directs and ushers families and services attendees to and from the location of the funeral service.</li>
<li>Coordinates all service arrangements and details with clergy, other presiding persons, fraternal or military organizations, and others who may participate in conducting the funeral service.</li>
<li>Supervises and assists in the transportation of client family to ensure a timely departure and arrival.</li>
<li>Arranges and coordinates shipment of deceased to and from other cities and locations.</li>
<li>Contributes to the overall efficiency of the location by maintaining open and effective communication and maintaining accurate and timely client files.</li>
<li>Acts to improve market share through participation in community events, groups and/or organizations.</li>
<li>Receives input and guidance from Funeral Director on services and paperwork.</li>
<li>Ensures proper paperwork, including permits and certificates, are timely in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.</li>
<li>Answers questions and assist with serving the needs of the client families.</li>
<li>Works on-call /first-call, as needed.</li>
<li>Identifies and remedies all hazards on grounds.</li>

Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure

<li>Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience preferred.</li>
<li>Attendance or enrollment in Funeral Director/Mortuary School preferred.</li>
<li>At least 1-year experience in funeral arranging.</li>
<li>Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record.</li>
