The Counter Parts Sales is responsible for selling parts to all customers over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone in a friendly and efficient manner.
Essential Duties:

POSITION OVERVIEW
 
The primary purpose of the Health Markets Leader's role is to support daily coordination and direct implementation of school and community-based markets, with a focus on partner engagement, volunteer management, and nutrition activities. In addition, this role will support nutrition security activities and data collection efforts. This position is primarily funded by a grant from the DC government through September 30, 2026. If at any point the funding changes, it could impact the duration of this position. 
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Coordinate and co-lead mobile farmers-market, choice-based food distributions in schools, community locations with an emphasis on providing an engaging and joyful experience for market guests. </li>
<li>Oversee market set up/ closing, restocking, and food distribution ensuring volunteers and team members adhere with food safety standards and operational protocols. </li>
<li>Create engaging and joyful market environments for guests that include music, costumes, educational activities, etc.</li>
<li>Lead joyful market nutrition activities, recipe demonstrations, and family-friendly activities. Provide culturally appropriate health and nutrition education, focusing on disease prevention, healthy eating behaviors, and access to resources.</li>
<li>Ensure appropriate food safety standards are maintained during handling, storage, transportation, and serving of food.</li>

<li>Ensure timely and accurate data entry for reporting purposes, maintaining a high standard of quality. Assist with sign-in registration and data entry at markets. Support data collection in schools and at community events.</li>
<li>Follow safe driving standards while transporting materials, equipment, and food to market locations using a cargo van.</li>
<li>In collaboration with the team and Community Health Nutrition, complete food preparation shifts, provide recipe demonstrations, and nutrition education to children and families.</li>
<li>With support, plan, implement, and support nutrition and health education projects.</li>
<li>Support market engagement efforts by working collaboratively with program leaders to distribute monthly marketing materials and create content for monthly market promotion toolkits, social media posts, and videos promoting markets and healthy eating.</li>

In this role, you will stock and display fresh plant material, unload plants from delivery racks, and maintain a sales-ready appearance for all plants and displays. You will also communicate regularly with coworkers, vendors, and retail associates.

Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Stock and display fresh plant material in garden centers from our delivery racks.</li>
<li>Help maintain a sales-ready appearance for all plants and displays.</li>
<li>Work and communicate cooperatively with coworkers, vendors and retail associates.</li>
<li>Remove and dispose of non-sellable plants.</li>
<li>Assist in performing inventory cycle counts.</li>
<li>Assist with resets, building displays, and special events.</li>
<li>Adhere to company policies and safety guidelines.</li>
<li>Keep work areas clean and safe.</li>
<li>Use various tools such as pallet jacks, pruners, ladders, and more.</li>
<li>Work assigned schedules, including weekends and holidays.</li>
</ul>

<li>Ensure empty delivery racks are ready and available for pickup</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Positive attitude and teamwork skills and the ability to work unsupervised at times.</li>
<li>Communicate well with customers, coworkers, managers and store personnel</li>
<li>Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.</li>
<li>Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently.</li>
<li>Comfortable working in various weather conditions.</li>
<li>Proof of Driver’s License and Auto Insurance</li>
<li>Reliable transportation to and from assigned stores.</li>
<li>Clean DMV driving record</li>
<li>Proficiency with mobile apps for clocking in/out and task completion.</li>

<li>Pushing of loaded and empty delivery racks daily</li>
<li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.</li>
